The Use of Somatics in CoachingMark Mooney

Monday, March 16, 2009

6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Orinda Library (Directions & Map)

The meeting will be held in Room 7 of the Community Center which is connected to the Library building.

Mark will guide us into the mechanics of coaching through the body, also known as Somatic Coaching. This method takes the full Self into consideration as the focal point of coaching. We will also explore several basic practices used at the Strozzi Institute by coaches, both for their clients, and for themselves as coaches.

As a result of our time with Mark, participants will be able to center and ground, and begin the practice of a centered presence. They will learn the possibilities that somatics offers for coaching and having the ability to observe the Self as body.
