To be a successful coach in today’s world, a knowledge of Web 2.0 and how to use relevant social media tools is imperative. In this interactive presentation, Anca will introduce and explain the use of an array of free and low-cost social media tools including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn — and also blogs — for coaching, communicating with clients, building your business and sharing your message. For beginners, this workshop will provide a map of the social media landscape and a starting point for setting up and using appropriate tools. For those who have already stepped into the social media landscape, the presentation will provide tools for assessing current capabilities and the effectiveness of communication.

Anca Mosoiu is an MIT graduate and social media coach and consultant who has worked in the Internet industry for 15 years. She has developed websites and for large international brands, nonprofits, small business owners, and individuals, and trained people to use the technology. Her focus at Tech Liminal, her technology hotspot and salon in downtown Oakland, is making technology accessible. Her passion is helping individuals and small business owners understand and take advantage of available resources to reach personal and business goals.
