“I help clients who are overwhelmed, confused and stuck,
find joyful, fulfilling purposeful direction in their lives .”

When I reached the age of sixty, I found that there are many lifestyle changes that come with reaching this amazing age. Often I hear women say they dread that number, yet there’s so much to celebrate! In that vein, my web/blog, www.sixtyandsensational.com is devoted to women around that age. At the site there is a link for a free mini-course on “Finding Your Style.” It’s full of tips and strategies based on my experience as an instructor at a modeling school.”

After several careers, my long-time passion to work with other women resulted in becoming a certified co-active coach. Clients include solo business owners, women’s organizations and individuals who simply want to improve their communication skills.

Some of the workshops I have created and facilitated include public relations skills for a dental school, marketing and presentation skills for non-profit organizations, and strategic planning sessions with chambers of commerce, interior designers, and an association of professional consultants.

After 25 years in journalism, mostly on the East Coast, I went back to school to earn an MBA and my coaching certificate. I use the skills I learned as a journalist to help my clients see alternatives they may not have considered in their decision making process.

My goals are simple: to help my clients make decisions to reach their full potential. Whether clients are making a career choice, or a management decision coaching can make sure they at least consider all the alternatives.

Wanda Hennig trained and certified through the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael. She was introduced to the concept of coaching while editor of Diablo magazine when a freelance writer pitched her a story on coaching. Reading the story, Wanda instantly saw the value of working with a coach, and coaching others. A teacher, lecturer and a long-time journalist in South Africa, she had come to the Bay Area after a job layoff and as an antidote to the “empty nest.”

Wanda has a post graduate degree in psychology and a counseling diploma from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and many testimonials from men and women, corporate and personal, who say her coaching turned their lives around. She continues to write and to coach, to coach around writing, and to write around coaching. She has a long-term Zen practice, which informs her life, and has had special success with clients around empowerment, entitlement and relationship issues, transitions, confidence and creative reinventions.

She has also worked successfully with people who want to write about themselves (particularly the memoir and self-help genre) or their businesses (coaching people to express their unique talents).
