East Bay Coaches Members & Friends

During the past six months we have been exploring the idea of merging the four Bay Area Chapters into one larger, more robust chapter. It has become a duplication of efforts for the smaller chapters to produce a website, write a monthly newsletter, and financially manage each chapter. Additionally, many chapters’ members are not filling open management positions.  If we combine into one united chapter, we will be stronger together, have a clearer voice with ICF, and be able to offer our members more benefits.  It is important to note that we are the only ICF metropolitan area in the country that does not have one large chapter.

The merger would give us one board, one website, one newsletter, and one membership process to help us become more effective as a group. We would like to encourage members to join our larger group, lead local interest groups, and explore together how a new model for our membership organization might look.

It is our vision that we can maintain a local East Bay presence in the form of community gatherings in more informal settings, such as to meet for coffee regularly or facilitate local vertical or master mind groups. We are open for suggestions and welcome your input.

I anticipate that 2012 will be a year of big changes and exploration of this new, more efficient model that will potentially have significantly more offerings – especially with your involvement!

On behalf of the East Bay Coaches Board, we all give great thanks for the opportunity to serve you, our coaching community.

Warm Holiday Regards,

Susan Chritton
